Do you want a premium performance water rower that you can use to get a full body workout from home? Life Fitness Row HX Trainer delivers a smooth and natural rowing experience, is really easy to set up and doesn’t take up a lot of space.
You can simply hop on the machine and start rowing – or you can connect your gadget of choice via bluetooth. Plus, the included tablet/smart phone holder allows you to enjoy your workouts more and achieve better results.
How to Use the Row HX Trainer:

Setting up the Life Fitness rower is simple and doesn’t require lots of time. In fact, it mainly involves filling the water tank.
Then, add batteries to the computer console and adjust the foot pads and straps. Next, start rowing to activate auto start.
The monitor automatically tracks your time, distance, watts, calories and strokes per minute during your workout. If you want to connect to a smart device using bluetooth, just hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
To adjust the resistance, simply turn the knob located on the tank. With this knob, you don’t have to fill or empty the tank to increase or decrease the resistance level. Very convenient!
Row HX Trainer VS WaterRower:
Compared to the WaterTower, the HX Trainer looks very much the same, with its elegant wood frame. In addition, they both are about the same size and stand upright for storage.
The WaterRower costs less and can support more weight (700 lbs vs 330 lbs). However, it doesn’t come with a tablet holder or offer bluetooth connectivity.
On the other hand, the Ergatta Rowing Machine (on a WaterRower body) comes with an interactive monitor and personalized training (power outlet needed). It has more high-tech functions but costs about $400-500 more than the Life Fitness rower.
How to Store the Water Rower:
This wood rowing machine doesn’t fold in half for storage. However, you can stand it upright so it doesn’t take up much space. It measures less than 7 feet tall when standing up. Therefore, it fits perfectly if you have 8-foot (or higher) ceilings.
In addition, the water tank end has wheels, which makes this device really easy to move from one place to another. Simply lift and tilt the opposite end and push to roll.
Furthermore, this water rower doesn’t require electricity. As a result, you don’t have to set up the machine near and electrical outlet. You can use it in the center of a room or even row outside on a sunny day.
